Tips for Business Leaders to Cope with COVID-19 Pandemic

Company Leaders! I am reaching out to provide some thoughts on the COVID-19 Pandemic and how we can respond as leaders of our organizations. First, you have to act now.  As a leader, it’s time to lead.  This means providing comfort to your employees, clients, and extended communities.  As leaders, we are lucky to have resources to weather this storm.  Many of those working for us and with us don’t have the same buffer we do, so use this as an opportunity to be of service. I recommend you send out a communication to all employees explaining your company’s EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN.  If you don’t have a plan, I am  providing a template to help get you started .  You’ll want to customize it to fit your business. Why You Should Continue to Invest, but Also Prepare for a Recession

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) released its eleventh annual survey of investor sentiment. BCG surveyed more than 250 portfolio managers and buy-and sell-side analysts from across the globe in November and December 2019. Now, they are sharing the survey results in their recent article “Investors Want Companies to Be Resilient and Bold.” Here are the key findings: 71% of respondents anticipate a recession within the next two years 74% expect a recession— if it does occur —to be mild (with a contraction of less than 2% in real GDP) 46% expect a recession to last more than one year With recent market activity placing fear in many business owners, it’s important to ask yourself – Is your company ready should a recession hit?
